Do you feel vulnerable with this too?

Has this ever happened to you?

You’re excited to try something new, you’re excited to implement change or you want to do something differently and once you get started you STOP.

One of the mental obstacles that can trip me up is when I think I can’t make a change or do something differently because I don’t know how.

I’ve come to realize that “I don’t know how” usually is a synonym to “I don’t know where to start.”

When we stop ourselves because we don’t know where to begin, it’s usually because we’re too focused on the end result –– the finished course, the updated website, the new passive income, the new level of tech, etc…

If we want to change, if we want to try something new, it requires ACTION. And action starts with one step at a time.

The best way to make changes in your life is:

  1. Have a vision Have a vision, what do you want? Be as specific as possible as to what you want to change or try on.

  2. Map it out Brainstorm all the steps you can think of taking to get to your end result. Don’t worry about the how, just jot down the ideas.

  3. One step at a time. Instead of getting overwhelmed by the final result, go at it slowly, one action at a time.

  4. Choose wisely If your current results are based on all the choices and actions you’ve taken in the past then remind yourself that for this new result you’re going to have to make different and wise choices that support this new change.

  5. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep reminding yourself, it’s one step at a time, one choice at a time and one action at a time. Micromovements to get you on the path.

  1. Get out of your own way Keep reminding yourself that even if you don’t know how or where to start, even if you think you’re too old, too young, too _______(fill in the blank) just remember: You’re not.

  1. Enjoy the process No matter how long it takes to get there, find joy, fun and/or pleasure in the process. These three feelings will elevate your vibration and will get the momentum going.

As adults, we’re often afraid to be beginners. We feel like we’re supposed to have it all together and it can feel vulnerable or embarrassing to admit that we don’t have it all figured out. But a beginner's mind is a special place to allow yourself to be. It’s full of possibilities. If this is hard for you, make time with kids, play and observe them. You’ll see how open minded they are and ready to learn new things.

What is that one thing you’d like to change? To achieve? To do different? Please share with me what you’re up to changing or taking on as something new.

Have a wonderful day!

With love,

Tania
