Why I Love Hosting Retreats: The Alchemy of Transformation, Connection, and Big Results

There’s something almost electric about walking into a room full of women who are ready. Ready to change. Ready to rise. Ready to finally claim what’s been theirs all along—greater visibility, more confidence, and the kind of income and impact that comes from aligning with their true purpose.

Every time I host one of my Increase Your Income and Impact retreats, I’m reminded: This is what I was born to do. I’m in my genius zone when I get to spend three days facilitating transformation. Not the kind of surface-level, “feel good for a moment” type—but deep, lasting breakthroughs around money, business, and success.

These women don’t just leave with ideas. They leave with courage. They leave with action plans. They leave with belief. And most importantly, they leave different than they came in.

Transformation Happens When You Say Yes to Yourself

There’s a sacredness to retreat space. It’s not just about learning; it’s about becoming. The walls come down. Stories get shared. Old beliefs get dismantled. Women realize they’ve been playing small, not because they lacked skill or drive, but because they were carrying decades of unspoken doubt and money stories that weren’t even theirs.

I’ve watched women go from “I’m not sure I belong here” to standing up on day three saying, “I now know I’m ready to launch my program,” or “I finally raised my prices,” or “I just signed a client while sitting in this room.”

That’s the power of this work. It doesn’t wait for perfect timing. It activates transformation now.

LESSON 1: Intention + Aligned Action = Results

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned—not just through my own journey, but from watching hundreds of women step into their next level—is this: Set the intention, take aligned action, and trust the results will come.

It sounds simple, but this is the core formula I live by. And I teach it at every event.

I remember one participant, Lisa, who flew in at the last minute with very little notice because she saw an opportunity to also go scout a property up in Colorado right before the retreat. She had doubts about whether she could afford the time, the flight, the hotel. But something told her to say yes. She set a strong intention that weekend: to open up to new opportunities and meet aligned collaborators.

By the time she got home, she had already raised $17,000 for her business from investors and an unexpected $5,000 business deal! That’s not a coincidence. That’s energetic alignment + courageous action.

LESSON 2: Community Is Currency

What happens when you bring together mission-driven women in the same room for three intentional days? Magic. Pure magic.

Over the years, I’ve watched strangers become collaborators, accountability partners, lifelong friends, and clients. I’ve watched women walk away not just with new business plans, but new businesses. And sometimes, they walk away with something even more precious—permission to be fully themselves.

One of our participants, Michele, was initially fully booked and hesitant to make space for the retreat—but something told her to come. By the end of the event, she had connected with several new clients who, over the next few months, brought in thousands of dollars in revenue for her clothing line.

That kind of connection isn’t just powerful—it’s priceless.

We don’t just come together to talk about money. We come together to change our relationship with it. We look at how our beliefs—often inherited or unconscious—have shaped our businesses and lives. And then we rewrite the story.

LESSON 3: Your Next Level Isn’t Found Alone

Here’s the truth: you can read all the books, binge all the podcasts, and write all the journal prompts—but nothing replaces the momentum that comes from being in the room.

One woman told me after a retreat, “I’ve done more for my business in these three days than I did in the last six months.” Why? Because she stopped hiding. She got support. She felt seen. And she realized that her voice mattered.

We create a container where women can be vulnerable and bold. Where they can dream and take action. Where they can finally let go of the fear that’s been holding them back and step into the leader they were always meant to be.

Trusting the Bigger Plan

Hosting events and retreats has also taught me one of the deepest spiritual lessons of all: have faith in the bigger plan.

There have been times when I didn’t know how all the pieces would come together. Times when I questioned whether I was doing enough, being enough, creating enough. But I’ve learned that when I hold the vision, stay in integrity, and take inspired action—things always turn out.

I’ve seen women come in heavy-hearted, burned out, or unsure if they even had a dream left in them… only to leave re-ignited, reconnected, and reborn. That’s not something I can take credit for. That’s the power of the space. That’s the power of giving yourself the gift of three intentional days away from the noise.
